Blue, jellyfish-like blobs known as by-the-wind sailors, or Velella velella, continue to wash ashore by the millions along Southern California’s coast this week. While it might look like a massive die-off or another catastrophic event, experts say it is perfectly natural and normal.“We’ve seen (Velella velella) colonies wash up along our coastline over the years,” said Cassandra Davis, manager of volunteer programs at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. “In 2014 and 2015, trillions of them washed up along the eastern Pacific coast.”By-the-wind sailors washed ashore by the thousands at Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura County, California, on April 11, 2023. Not every sex session will be mind-blowing! And if an uneventful sexy time is going to be the case, there’s no shame in wanting to just skip it. However, that is the case for some Americans — only 36% of the ones polled by OnePoll (that LELO commissioned) rated their sex life as “excellent.”So, what do some Americans do to keep things spicy in the bedroom? How important is it to have a healthy sex life? Most of us already know — and even experts agree — that a great sex life plays an important role in a relationship. It’s widely believed that when a couple makes time for intimacy, it can lower stress levels and blood pressure, it can lead to better communication with their partner, and can even decrease the chances of getting a divorce. Unfortunately, among the 5,000 Americans that were surveyed, only 36% ranked their sex life as exceptional. This doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re miserable either. In a statement by Luka Matutinovic (Chief Marketing Officer of LELO), they stated, “...One Injured in Five-Vehicle Crash on Highway 92 [Foster City, CA]

By Joel Rosenblatt | BloombergA California bill seeking to hold social media companies legally responsible for addicting young users to their platforms advanced, clearing an initial hurdle after it was amended to allow lawsuits only by public prosecutors. The legislation, which has drawn strong opposition from the tech industry, would prohibit companies such as Meta Platforms Inc., Snap Inc., TikTok Inc. and Google from designing social media to hook users younger than 18 years old and provides for penalties of up to $250,000 for each violation.Tuesday’s 8-0 vote by a Senate committee in the state capitol in Sacramento is just the first of several needed to get the measure on the desk of California Governor Gavin Newsom. As introduced in February by Nancy Skinner, a Democratic senator whose district is in Berkeley and Oakland, the bill would have let parents sue the companies within four years of alleged harms. But Skinner agreed during Tuesday’s hearing to a revision that authorizes ...Latest news
