Troy's first Rockin' on the River show postponed TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Rockin' on the River's first show for 2023 has been postponed due to weather, said the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District. Neon Avenue, which was originally supposed to perform on June 28, will now be performing on August 2. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! According to Meteorologist Jill Szwed's weather report, there will be isolated thunderstorms throughout the area on Wednesday. Also, an Air Quality Alert has been issued for eastern New York due to Canadian wildfire smoke.The concert on July 12 with Sirsy and Legacy is scheduled to go on as planned as of now. The United States Environmental Protection Agency was notified of a release of chromium compounds from a Boeing-operated wastewater treatment plant. Air quality alert for St. Louis from Canadian wildfire smoke Officials say Boring worked with the EPA to stop the release and implement a sampling strategy from wastewater on-site. Red flag warnings issued for western Colorado as Spring Creek fire continues to burn Despite “red flag” hot, dry and windy conditions that favor flames, the Spring Creek fire burning in western Colorado south of Parachute stayed roughly the same size, authorities said Wednesday morning.The most recent mapping of the fire showed that it is burning within a 2,848-acre area, based on overnight aerial mapping using infrared imagery, according to officials with the Upper Colorado River Interagency Fire Management Unit, which on Tuesday had estimated the size of this fire at more than 3,000 acres.Flames were devouring grass, oak brush, and pinon-juniper forest, according to data from an online federal fire information site.Low humidity and robust wind favored the fire.
